Rebels vs. spies — complete the mission
Rebels are fighting back against an oppressive Empire. But spies have infiltrated the group. Players must vote on mission teams and decide who to trust — while hidden spies work to sabotage from within. No eliminations, pure deduction.
The AI host secretly assigns roles: Resistance members (majority) and Spies (minority).
A Leader proposes a team for the current mission. All players vote to approve or reject.
If approved, team members secretly vote Mission Success or Sabotage. Even one Sabotage fails the mission.
Three successful missions wins for the Resistance. Three failed missions wins for the Spies.
The game has no player elimination — everyone plays all the way through.
You are loyal. Vote for the right people, detect spy patterns, and complete three missions to win.
You know who the other spies are. Blend in, gain trust, get onto missions, and sabotage without revealing yourself.
The Resistance is a social deduction game where Resistance members try to complete missions while hidden Spies sabotage them. Unlike Werewolf, no players are ever eliminated.
The Resistance is the simpler base version. Avalon adds roles like Merlin, Percival, and the Assassin for deeper deception and strategy.
The number of spies depends on player count — typically 2 spies for 5–6 players, up to 4 spies for 9–10 players.
