Find the spy — or be the spy
Everyone gets a secret word — almost. One player (the Undercover) has a subtly different word. Describe yours without giving it away, then vote out the spy before they fool everyone. A fast, fun word-guessing game perfect for any group.
The AI host secretly assigns words: most players get the same word (Civilians); one player gets a similar but different word (Undercover); optionally one player gets no word (Mr. White).
Starting with a random player, each person gives a one-sentence description of their word — without saying the word itself.
After everyone has described, players vote to eliminate the most suspicious player.
The eliminated player reveals their role and word.
Repeat until the Undercover is found or wins by surviving to the final 3.
You have the common word. Describe it clearly enough to convince others you're not the spy — without making it obvious.
Your word is close but different. Listen, blend in, and survive. Win by reaching the final 3.
You have no word at all. Bluff your way through — and win by guessing the Civilians' word when eliminated.
Each player receives a secret word. One player (the Undercover) has a slightly different word. Players take turns describing their word without saying it, then vote to eliminate who they think is the spy.
Undercover works best with 4–10 players. It's one of the fastest and most accessible party games for any group size.
Mr. White has no word at all. They must bluff convincingly — and can win by correctly guessing the Civilians' word if they are eliminated.
A typical round lasts 15–20 minutes, making it perfect for a quick group activity.
The AI game master sets everything up in seconds. No moderator, no prep — just play.
