Liberals vs. Fascists — stop fascism before it's too late
It's 1930s Germany. Liberals and Fascists are locked in a political struggle. Fascists are hidden among the players and must enact fascist policies — or elect Hitler as Chancellor. Liberals must enact liberal policies and identify Hitler before it's too late.
The AI host secretly assigns roles: Liberals (majority) and Fascists (minority, including Hitler).
Fascists know each other; Liberals and Hitler do not know who is who.
Each round, players nominate a President and Chancellor. Everyone votes to approve the government.
Approved governments draw policy cards and must enact one — creating tension and deception.
Liberals win by enacting 5 liberal policies or killing Hitler. Fascists win by enacting 6 fascist policies or electing Hitler as Chancellor.
You have no information about other players. Work to pass liberal policies and identify who's secretly fascist.
You know your fellow fascists and Hitler. Manipulate elections, enact fascist policies, and protect Hitler.
You don't know who the other fascists are. Blend in with liberals and try to be elected Chancellor after 3 fascist policies are passed.
Players are divided into Liberals and Fascists. Governments are elected to enact policies. Fascists try to pass fascist policies or elect Hitler as Chancellor, while Liberals try to stop them.
Hitler wins for the Fascist team if elected as Chancellor after three fascist policies have already been enacted.
With 5–6 players there are 2 fascists (including Hitler). With 9–10 players there are 4 fascists (including Hitler).
Secret Hitler is designed for players 13 and up. It uses historical political themes in a game context.
